Sydney Harbour Tall Ship Afternoon Cruise
Sydney Harbour Tall Ship cruise is a 90-minute sail aboard a genuine 1850s-style timber tall ship, giving visitors a rare mix of old-world sailing and modern Sydney sightseeing. Guests board either the Southern Swan or the striking Soren Larsen (with the Coral Trekker used on select dates between April and September) for a cruise that glides past the Sydney Opera House, Fort Denison and beneath the Harbour Bridge, with real sailing whenever conditions allow.
What sets this cruise apart is how hands-on it can be. Passengers are welcome to try their hand at steering or helping haul the sails, getting a genuine taste of what life was like for sailors of yesteryear — or you can simply sit back, relax and enjoy the entertainment and commentary from the friendly crew. Either way, it’s a great excuse to bring a camera, since the ship offers a unique vantage point over the city skyline that you won’t get from a standard ferry or tour boat.
Departing daily from Campbell’s Cove in The Rocks, the cruise suits travellers who want to pack maximum harbour scenery into a short window. Optional extras like a mast climb or an onboard drinks package are available for those wanting to make the afternoon even more memorable.
